On September 19th, the “2019 China·Ganzhou Third Tungsten Industry Autumn Seminar” hosted by China Nonferrous Metals Industry Information Center and hosted by Beijing Antaike Information Co., Ltd. was held in Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province.
The tungsten industry is an important part of the non-ferrous metals industry. Tungsten is a strategic metal of the country. It is widely used in the fields of national defense, aerospace, mechanical processing, metallurgy, etc. It is an indispensable material for safeguarding China's economic construction, safeguarding national security, and promoting high-tech development.
The important position of tungsten materials in national economic construction and social development has become increasingly prominent. In recent years, it has also received extensive attention from the outside world. Since the beginning of this year, due to the slowdown of global economic growth, Sino-US trade friction and pan-Asian inventory, the price of tungsten raw materials in China has dropped significantly. The economic benefits of the tungsten industry have continued to decline, and the overall tungsten industry has shown a weak operating trend.
Zeng Qingning, chairman of Grand Sea Group, said in his speech that since the beginning of this year, the gathering of uncertainties such as the global trade situation and geopolitics has weakened the growth momentum of international trade, the turmoil in global financial markets has intensified, the Sino-US economic and trade friction has escalated, and the world economy has declined. The risk increased; on July 30, the second-quarter meeting of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee judged the current situation as “a new risk challenge, an increase in economic downward pressure, an increase in the sense of urgency, and a good at risk.” However, how China's tungsten industry “reforms the crisis into a machine”, jointly maintains a win-win situation for cooperation and creates a more viable and more competitive industrial structure is a strategic issue facing the tungsten industry today; The largest distribution center of tungsten raw materials in the world, the main production area of tungsten smelting and processing, how to use the advantages of location and raw materials, strengthen the deep integration with domestic and foreign tungsten enterprises, condense upstream and downstream enterprises, and explore the establishment of a community of interests with competitive status. It is worth exploring.
In the two stages of the report, the experts made a keynote report on the international economic and trade situation, the status and prospects of the tungsten industry, the analysis and outlook of the cemented carbide industry, and the current status of superhard tools. The forum was strongly supported by the Ganzhou Tungsten Industry Association and the China Tungsten Industry Association Cemented Carbide Branch, and also invited Jiangxi Tungsten Holding Group Co., Ltd., Luoyang Luanchuan Molybdenum Group Co., Ltd., Chongyi Zhangyuan Tungsten.
